The built-in fan actually works — I turned it on before a vet visit and my cat stayed calm instead of panting like he usually does in his old carrier. Being able to adjust the wind speed is a small thing but it made a difference on a warm day.

Took my cat on a two-hour drive and he actually stayed calm the whole time, which never happens. The built-in fan really does move air around in there, though I wish the battery lasted a bit longer on high.
